[talk: Today's Plan]

Well, not a lot of responses on what you like to read on my blog *grin* ... that's ok. I know a lot of you just come 'round for a quick peek - and don't really need a homework assignment from me *laughing*.

Today's plan? Well ... we're off to a wedding - so I guess I'll be showering and getting dressed. Hopefully, there won't be any tears as I try to shoehorn myself into something presentable *smirk*.

The bride is a past piano student ... she comes from what I call, the "Glory Days". This was a time in my studio where it was buzzing, I didn't have kids, and I threw all my time and energy into my studio and the kids in it. It was a very special time for me ... and I adored the group of 40 students that I had. So, what an honour to be thought of 5 years later and be invited to her special day!!

Our boys are heading to their grandparents for the afternoon & a sleep over ... they are terribly excited because there's talk of heading to the bowling alley ... those boys and bowling *grin*. They love it!

If I get home early enough, my plan is to start working on Katia's birth announcement (digiscrap), thank you cards (she's received so many lovely gifts ...), and finishing up the legal forms for her birth certificate, SIN and MSP. Phewf. And just in case you forgot how cute she was *GRIN* ... (um, I'm a proud Mama, humour me *GRIN*)

One thing before I go ... I spent some time last night on the piano and in the Word. I find that worship and the Psalms are like a "spa day" for my soul. The only thing is, is that I'm starting to get concerned about the pins and needles in my hands. This has been going on for about 3 to 4 weeks now, and I thought it would be gone once Katia was born. But it hasn't ...

Have any of you experienced tingly fingers because of pregnancy? Did it go away?? Playing the piano, typing, picking up things ... it's all annoying with the tips of my fingers being numb.

Maybe you have some info that could help? Would LOVE to hear that this is normal and that it'll go away!!

Have a good one ...

Hi Tania,
The tingling in your hands, I get it all the time. And also they say that it can be the start of carple tunnel, also something that is not very serious. It means you should let your hands relax. My arms and hands fall asleep at night in bed, and they tingle thru out the day. RELAX your arms;) that will help

Hey - I had tingles in my hands - my finger tips especially - but after time it did go away. Obviously, if its something that doesn't go away in a few more weeks - have it looked into. Most often it has to do with circulation. Your body is in the midst of adjusting and your organs moving back into place and relaxing after housing a baby for the last 9 months. So give it some time. Keep enjoying your sweet little angel!!!

Totally had the tingly hands and really poor grip for a few months... I think almost til I started weaning from breastfeeding?! I don't remember exactly, but it just slowly faded away and my grip's pretty good again and no tingly fingers.

I am surprised you don't have a hundred pics of her up yet! She is so beautiful! Congratulations! Have you talked to your DR about the tingling?

Which fingers are affected? What about the rest of the hand? It could be anything from simple swelling to carpal tunnel to hypothyroidism (among other potential causes). I would agree that resting your hands is always a safe first resort. Perhaps consider keeping a "pain diary" so that you can keep track of where the numbness is, when it happens, what kind of sensations you're feeling, and what you were doing when it happened. This could help the doctor if it doesn't go away in the next couple of weeks. Of course, this would require writing or typing... but you could always dictate to Lu!

Not sure about the tingling in your hands, as I never experience that with my pregnancies.

I dropped by to comment on your last post. Keep writing the way you are because I love it!

(I feel like I know you because I read your blog :0) I don't think I ever met you, but know of you leading worship as we used to attend CLA Maple Ridge and even went to the Langley Campus a few times. You have the most beautiful voice.)

Congratulations on the birth of your little girl :0)

Hi Tawn, Congratulations!! I'm late, I know, just finally came by today, to be greeted with the best-est news!! What a blessing of a daughter! She's beautiful!!
Read a little more, love that necklace idea, the birth was quick! And 'authentic'!I had no epidural either, also not to be heroic, but it just went too fast, but I don't regret it, to have experienced entirely! May the Lord lift you out of the bit of blues quickly and let you enjoy His presence during this period of time of change and also tender moments. I don't know about tingling fingers, I actually broke my left arm at 7 1/2 months pregnancy, got the cast off after birth, and the doctor said I recovered extremely fast and went back to playing because I had to use both hands to carry and feed the baby. So pray your tingling will go away quickly too. Take care!! I will drop by again soon!

I had the same problem...carpel tunnel for sure. Rest, rest and more rest. If it still persists try acupuncture.
