But ... I'll be posting a few of last year's digiscrap pages, over the next few days.  Why?  Because I'm starting 2014 LOL.

[digiscrap: Crossing Of My List.]

I'm on a roll.

I still have about 30pages left ... but in the last few weeks, I've done more than double that.  Plus, I was able to get ALL of 2013's pics edited and ready for digiscrapping.

See, I have a process.  First, I upload my pics into Lightroom.  Then I edit them, and export them into jpegs (I shoot in RAW ... not to be confused with "in the raw" *big grin*).  Once they're exported, they go into a file marked "to be saved".  One there are enough edited images in that folder, I burn them to disk - and move them to the "saved" file.  Those images are then digiscrapped without papers and journaling - just the images - then, the file where they were "saved", all those pics are deleted once started scrapbooking.  Then - I go back when there are about 10 digi pages prepped, and I finishe them off, and THEY go into a "to be saved" file - where they are saved at 24x12 and 12x12 (times 2) pages.  They sit on my hard drive as 12x12 jpeg images until they are put into a Blurb book.

PHEWF.

See??  It's crazy.  Just writing it all out made me seem like a loon.  But - it works for me.  What DOESN'T work, is trying to do a years worth of editing and digiscrapping in the month of December.  NO.  That doesn't work at all ...

[digiscrap: Buried Under a Pile of Pics.]

Every year, I make a Blurb 12x12 album for my mom and MIL.  It's their Christmas gift from the kids - and costs us a small fortune, but they LOVE them.

This year - I'm behind.  Like ... I'm still digiscrapping pages and Christmas is next week.  So.  This year, they will get a COMPLETE album, containing this year's Christmas too ... and get it in Jan/Feb.

They are SO much work ... hours and hours and hours and hours of work.  But seeing their faces when I give the books to these lovely women - well, it's sheer motivation ... another 6pages done today *smile*.

[digiscrap: Pages and Memories.]

I'm back.   Oh, you didn't know I was gone?  ... well, I spent 16 days in an Auz/NZ vacation with my hubby, kidlets and my parents.  It was an amazing time away - I'm truly homesick for my NZ family now ... and hope to get back there sooner than later.

I have over 1500 photos to sort through and realistically with all the RHP stuff I have to do, I won't get to it any time soon.  But I am hoping to post on our NZ "early" Christmas evening ... I'm sure my NZ family would like to see those images ... 

BUT - while I was gone, I finished close to 100 digiscrap pages - WOW!!  Now, they're not crazy-inspiring, but hey - they're DONE.  My mom's and MIL's albums are ordered and I can reeeeelax.  Well - I'm still adding to the number, as my personal album has more pages than my gift-ones ... only because my moms won't really care about all the little pages that I do!
